Our Operations - Facilities
“When we accept tough jobs as a challenge to our ability and wade into them with joy and enthusiasm, miracles can happen. When we do our work with a dynamic, conquering spirit, we get things done.”
- George Lois
Moni Pulo Limited (MPL) operates as sole risk, the Oil Mining License OML 114 (ex OPL 230) located in the shallow marine waters offshore the coast of Nigeria, 30 km south of the city of Calabar. The OPL 230 was awarded in May 1992. OML 114 is located in the eastern lobe of the tertiary Niger-Delta play in the south-south region of Nigeria.
The concession covers a total area of 465 sq. km. It has a cluster of seventeen horizontal production wells and two water injection wells. Production from the wells is through two production platforms installed on the developed Abana field-Abana
East and
West respectively.
MPL’s production assets also include the Agbani Floating Production Facility (FPF) complete with water injection facilities to process oil and gas from OML 114.
The crude oil produced is transported via a 42km, 12 inch sub-sea pipeline to a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facility. The FPSO serves as our storage and offloading facility.
OML 114 was operated by MPL’s technical partner until 2002 when MPL took over the sole responsibility for operating the concession.
