GREEN AND CLEAN

The primary objective of MPL’s HSE management in OML 114 is to ensure safe and healthy operations for everybody on MPL’s areas of operation and our neighbours and also to minimize the environmental impacts of our operations. Assurance for HSE matters is provided by setting standards and monitoring performance.
From inception, MPL adopted an integrated HSE management approach to achieve its health, safety and environmental objectives.
Qualified HSE practitioners and consultants are constantly working with and advising the Moni Pulo operations group on how to manage HSE issues proactively.
This ensures continuous improvement in MPL’s HSE performance. Fundamentally, success in MPL’s HSE management strategy has been based on well planned policies backed by sound leadership, commitment and training.
Moni Pulo is also constantly evaluating opportunities for preventing or minimizing pollution and wastes.
Inevitable changes in operations are aptly marched with full appraisal of inherent HSE implications.
Adherence to Moni Pulo’s HSE polices, aims, strategies, procedures, are mandatory for staff and contractors/visitors in order that statutory requirements, local/international standards as well as known oil field practices are met.
Incidents and near misses are reported and serious or potentially serious occurrences are thoroughly investigated while actions and lessons learned to prevent recurrence. These are normally communicated in all sites.
Effective emergency response plans for all foreseeable emergences are documented and maintained at all sites. A programme of self-assessment at all levels of HSE management is in place to ensure self-regulation and to meet compliance requirements at all times.
